what we believe

Statement of Faith

1.  We believe in one God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This same God created the heavens and the earth and all the live within it. (Gen 1:1, Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, John 10:30 Heb 1:1-3)

2.  We believe that the Bible in its entirety is the inerrant Word of God. (Matt 5:18, John 17:17, 11 Tim 3:16-17, 11 Pet 1:19-21, Rev. 22:18-19)

  1.  We believe that Christ is God’s Son who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary atoning death on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven, where as truly God and truly man, He is the only mediator between God and man. (Isa. 7:14, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6–7; Matthew 1:18–25; Luke 3:22; John 1:1–3, 14, 29, 5:18, 10:30; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5–11; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5)
  1.  We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts one of sin, lives in the heart of all true believers and helps one to live a godly life. (John 14:16–17, 26, 15:26–27, 16:7–15; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9, 14; 1 Corinthians 2:10–11, 6:19; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Galatians 5: 22–23; Ephesians 4:30)
  1.  We believe that all people are sinners who cannot see God’s kingdom unless they are born again. This is done through repentance of sin and faith towards God. We are justified through faith in Christ alone not by works. (John 1:11–13, 3:16, 5:24, 10:28–30, 14:6; Romans 3:23–26, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 7:24–25; 1 Peter 1:18–19; 1 John 5:11–13)
  1.  We believe that the church is a body of believers worldwide of which Jesus Christ is the head. (Acts 2:41–47; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22–23; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:25)
  1.  We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ at which time He will raise those who have died in Christ. (John 14:2–3; Romans 14:10–12; 1 Corinthians 15:51–54; 1 Thessalonians 4:15–17; Revelation 22:12–17)
